Deepika Padukone starrer latest Hollywood movie xXx : The Return of Xandar Cage collected Rs 8.5 crore at box office. The movie earned overall collection of Rs 16.5 crore in India, reported BoxOfficeCollection.in.

D. J. Caruso directed multi starrer film hit across thousands on screens on Saturday. The celluloid is facing box office clash with Indian movies which released in the same week.

After minting a box office collection of Rs 6.75 crore on the opening day, the movie has managed to show a little growth on second day. The celluloid amassed Rs 8.5 crore on Sunday.

As the Indian movies released in this week didn’t give much space to the Hollywood flick to create immense impression on the Indian audiences, the film couldn’t succeed in garnering double digit collection on second day also.

Bollywood movies OK Jaanu and Haraamkhor were released on January 13. South Indian movies Bairavaa and Khaidi No. 150 too hit the screens in this week. All these films are doing the surprising businesses though the much awaited Hollywood movie has opened in theatres since two days.

Not only the movies released in January but also the Aamir Khan starrer celluloid Dangal (which was released on December 23, 2016) is intervening the journey of xXx : The Return of Xandar Cage at Indian box office. With steady overall box office collections, Indian movies are obstructing the Hollywood movie’s journey at box office.

Vin Diesel starrer xXx : The Return of Xandar Cage, which also features Donnie Yen, Toni Collette, Ruby Rose, Samuel L Jackson, Nina Dobrev, Kris Wu and Tony Jaa in significant roles, is expected to take fair jump in its first week as audience are showing good interest in it.
