Bollywood actor Diljit Dosanjh, who made his debut in Indian film industry with last year released controversial film Udta Punjab, will play major character in Ekta Kapoor’s maiden Punjabi production Super Singh.
Ekta Kapoor’s new project, which is about to be produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Brat Films, will star Diljit in leading role. The celluloid is going to be directed by Anurag Singh. Super Singh is scheduled to release in June 2017.
With this film, Diljit won’t be working with the National award winning director Anurag Singh for first time. Both of them have earlier collaborated for movies such as the Punjab 1984 and Jatt & Juliet series.
“It has been my long cherished dream to give Punjabi audiences their own superhero. It fills me with pride that this dream is finally coming to life. What has made it even more special is that I get to make this dream come alive with my favourite director Anurag,” Diljit said while sharing talks about his enthusiasm to work with Anurag and Ekta.
Along with this new project, Diljit Dosanjh is also prepping for his next movie Phillauri in which he will play leading character with Anushka Sharma. Phillauri will be Anushka’s second home production, which is slated for worldwide release on March 24, 2017.
