Tamannaah Bhatia will star in Tamil remake of Kangana-starrer ‘Queen’. In 2014, filmmaker Thiagarajan had purchased the remake rights of this film. Actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam is going to write dialogues of ‘Queen’ remake in Tamil version. Legendary actress Revathi will direct this movie which will be released in all four south Indian languages – Telugu, Malyalam, Kannada and Tamil.

Tamannah told Hindustan Times, “I felt liberated when I saw ‘Queen’, and I can’t wait to start working on the remake. The fact that Revathi ma’am is directing it makes it even more special because she was the inspiration for my character in ‘Devi’.”

Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao starred ‘Queen’ is the story about a Punjabi girl who goes on her honeymoon to Paris and Amsterdam. Vikas Bahi directed comedy-drama ‘Queen’ is all about the life of a simple girl. The film won National Awards for Best Film and Best Actress. The movie also won six Filmfare Awards.

Tamannah is currently gearing up for Prabhas starrer ‘Baahubali : The Conclusion’ which is slated to release on April 28, 2017. Tamannah is also going to be the part of Hindi movie ‘Abhinetri’ which features Prabhu Deva, Sonu Sood and Amy Jackson in major roles.
