Release date of the much awaited Tamil film Singam 3 has been postponed by the filmmakers. The crew members decided to delay the release of their upcoming movie to avoid the box office clash with newly released Raees and Kaabil.
South Indian superstar Suriya starrer third part of Singam franchise was about to hit screens on the occasion of Republic Day in India. But Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil have already opened in Indian theatres on January 25.
The Jayam Ravi-Arvind Swamy movie was supposed to release in India on December 23 last year. Bogan release was postponed without any new release date when the makers of Suriya film decided to change the release date from December 16 to December 23 at the request of Telugu film Dhruva filmmakers.
To avoid the loss due to demonetisation, makers had pushed the release date of Singam 3 in December 2016. Just two days ahead of its release on January 26, Singam 3 release date was also postponed due to the outbreak of violence in Tamil Nadu over Jallikattu.
Sources told that the distributors in Tamil Nadu as well as the Telugu states have confirmed the release date of Singam 3 as Febraury 9 and reportedly the filmmakers are determined to release the celluloid on the said date without further ado.
Singam 3 is the third installment in the super cop series created by Hari. Apart from Suriya, the movie has Thakur Anoop Singh, Shruti Haasan and Anushka Shetty in leading roles.
