Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starred latest Bollywood movie ‘Dear Zindagi’ saw average occupancy in theaters on its opening day. The film released on November 24 didn’t face the effect of demonetization. The movie was released in USA on Wednesday, two days before its release in India. It grossed a total of Rs 1.19 crores in the foreign country.
SRK and Alia led movie released across 1800 screens in India and hit nearly 600 screens in international arena. Gauri Shinde directed celluloid saw overall 45% occupancy in the country. The movie, which also stars Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor and Angad Bedi in significant roles, continued to mint a good response from people in afternoon shows.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the collection made by this movie in USA. He wrote “#DearZindagi had a midweek release in USA [Thanksgiving Weekend]… Collected an IMPRESSIVE $ 172,571 [₹ 1.19 cr] on Wednesday. @Rentrak.” Experts predicted that the cinema would mint box office collection in range of Rs 8 crores to 10 crores on the first day of its release.
