Raees 21st Day Collection Occupancy Box Office Income Business : Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s first collaboration on the silver screen has created immense buzz across the globe. The latest Bollywood film Raees, in which the two stars have worked together, is reporting 20 to 30 % occupancy on 21st day of its release. With this good occupancy on 21st day, the movie is expected to earn a box office income of Rs 0.8 crore on day 21.
Mahira Khan’s debut Hindi flick faced ban in her home nation Pakistan. Though the movie has been barred from screening in neighbouring country of India, it is receiving a good response in other foreign countries. A sharp decline in the box office earnings in second weekend has been observed. The movie collected Rs 0.74 crore and Rs 0.8 crore on 19th and 20th day of its release, respectively.
The multi starrer cinema, which has Sunny Leone in cameo appearance in item song titled ‘Laila Mai Laila’, commenced its business with monstrous double digit opening. The movie collected Rs 20.42 crore on very first day of its release. On Republic Day, which was second day of the film in cinemas, Raees earned huge collection of Rs 26.30 crore. The celluloid grossed Rs 13.11 crore and Rs 15.61 crore on 3rd and 4th day of its release, respectively.
The flick’s income on Sunday was expected to go around Rs 25 crore, but it fell short of 8 crore and the movie minted Rs 17.8 crore. The 2nd holiday in its first week of release was not a jackpot for the cinema. The film’s box office journey in following week kicked off with single digit collection of Rs 6.25 crore, Rs 5.52 crore, Rs 7.1 crore and Rs 6.25 crore on 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th day, respectively.
The celluloid reported a drop in its earnings on 10th day as it bagged Rs 2.8 crore. A little increment in the box office business of the film was witnessed on 11th and 12th day which came out as Rs 4 crore and Rs 4.75 crore collection, respectively. This was the end of second week for the film in Indian cinema. The flick remained stagnant in pocketing mere one digit collection in third week.
On 13th day, Raees garnered Rs 1.47 crore and began its box office business with a declined income. The film raked Rs 1.1 crore and Rs 1 crore on 14th and 15th day of its release, respectively. The third weekend days for the movie weren’t much helpful in bagging a good revenue as Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2 hit screens on Friday.
Facing the box office competition with Hrithik Roshan’s simultaneous releases of film Kaabil as well as the new movie Jolly LLB 2, SRK’s movie pocketed Rs 1 crore, Rs 0.3 crore, Rs 0.55 crore. Rs 0.8 crore and Rs 0.74 crore on 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th day of its release, respectively. The overall box office collection of the film in India is Rs 137.15 crore.
In overseas also, SRK starrer flick has made a phenomenal business of double digit earnings. The movie raked a total box office collection of Rs 121.12 crore. Raees grossed Rs 23.51 crore in North America (Canada and United States), Rs 9.53 crore in United Arab Emirates, Rs 10.47 crore in United Kingdom, Rs 4.47 crore in Australia, Rs 1.27 crore in New Zealand, Rs 0.41 crore in Malaysia and Rs 0.93 crore in Germany.
