First Day Box Office Collection of Phillauri
Anushka Sharma’s newly released Bollywood movie ‘Phillauri’ hit screens today. The celluloid, which features Udta Punjab fame Diljit Dosanjh in main role opposite Anushka, witnessed about 25% occupancy in morning shows. The romantic comedy offering, which has been directed by Anshai Lal, is expected to make a business of Rs 7 crore on its first Friday in cinema halls.
As the film stars Diljit in significant role, the movie has started receiving a bulky response from the people in Punjab. Apart from the public’s love for the Sikh artist, who enticed millions of minds with his awesome acting in Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor starrer Udta Punjab, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is expected to be the factor of attraction with her ghost’s role in the cinema.
The celluloid is not facing an intense competition at box office as no film starring any superstar from the industry has opened in the theatres today. Swara Bhaskar’s fresh release Anaarkali Of Araah has grabbed an average attention from the public domain. Anushka’s third production is witnessing a normal box office clash with this Bollywood drama movie.
In south Indian states, Pawan Kalyan starrer Katamarayudu is having a good hold in the several multiplexes. The megastar’s celluloid, which too released today, has succeeded in divulging a big number of people. Anushka’s latest movie, which also stars Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada in main roles, has witnessed less footfalls in the cinema halls and multiplexes in the Telugu speaking states.
The Hindi offering is performing well in the central India. The celluloid got a good response in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. After reporting an overall occupancy of 25% in morning shows, the Bollywood cinema is expected to see growth in the same in noon, evening and night shows. According to our expert’s prediction, the celluloid can gross an income of Rs 7 crore as its opening day collection.
