Padmavat 40th Day Box Office Collection Worldwide Business Report – Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest Bollywood movie ‘Padmavat’ took a thundering start to its box office journey not only in India but also across the globe. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer newly released Hindi offering, which also features Shahid Kapoor in prominent role, raked in a huge income on 9th day of its release. Earning a whopping amount of Rs 143 Crore in 8 days, the Hindi flick received consistent response from the audiences on eleventh day.

The movie has been banned in four states – Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajashtan and Haryana. Local groups protested to oppose the film’s release in different parts of India. Though Supreme Court allowed the movie to release, State Governments of these four states refuted to allow the movie’s release and maintained ban of its release. The ban seems to haven’t created a major impact on the film’s business which is expected to cross Rs 100 Crore mark by the first weekend.

The Hindi film, which became more controversial with the involvement of some fringe groups opposing its ban over the alleged dream sequence between Queen Padmini and Allauddin Khilji, minted Rs 74.95 crore total collection in the world.

The multi-starrer movie amassed Rs 27 crore on 3rd day and Rs 32 crore on 4th day of release. Thus, the Bollywood offering agglomerated Rs 143 crore total earnings in eight days.
