The movie witnessed a box office clash with Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut movie – xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Haraamkhor. On the first day, the film could see 25% occupancy in theatres.
After receiving mixed reviews from people, the movie is expected to gross a little more box office collection on the third day of its release. Trade analysts predict that the film might gross single digit income on Sunday.
Apart from OK Jaanu, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s movie Haraamkhor too witnessed a moderate 5% occupancy in Indian theatres. Both the films are expected to show growth in their weekend shows.
Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor have previously collaborated for movie Ashiqui 2 which was also a romantic drama. Their latest movie has failed to meet the earnings which their previous celluloid had earned in initial days of release.
Ashiqui 2 had earned Rs 5.75 crore and Rs 6.25 crore on first and second day of its release, respectively. The movie had raked over Rs 20 crore in the first three days. In comparison with it, OK Jaanu is expected to earn Rs 15 crore* in the first weekend.
