Hritik Roshan starrer ‘Mohenjo Daro’ box office collection rate lowers down on the 6th day of its release. Starting from the opening day, Pooja Hegde’s debut historic epic based cinema generated single digit income. Till now, the film has succeeded in making only INR 46.8 crores in India. This newly released celluloid has failed to curb a good overseas income.
Commencing with 8.90 crores first day collection, the film managed to surpass the two digit figure at the end of weekend. After comprehending an average collection in the initial three days, the rate of grabbing revenue lowered down. On the fourth day, movie earned only 3.1 crores and it grossed 2.8 crores on fifth day.
If the earnings in early days are compared with the business profit gained in later releases, a steep decline in the collection will be noticed. Reason behind the lesser repercussion is nothing but the simultaneous release of Akshay Kumar, Ileana D’Cruz and Isha Gupta starred ‘Rustom’ on the same date.
On one side ‘Mohenjo Daro’ failed hit the screens with huge public backup and on other side, ‘Rustom’ bagged tremendous responses from the public domain. It triumphed in foreign countries with an amazing collection from the foreign fans of the Khiladi actor. Clash between the two has affected the journey of Ashutosh Gowarikar directed movie.
