Katamarayudu First Day Box Office Collection
Pawan Kalyan starrer latest Telugu movie Katamarayudu, which hit screens on 24th March, witnessed about 35% occupancy in the morning shows. Directed by south Indian filmmaker Kishore Kumar Pardasani, the film is expected to gross an amount of Rs 15 crore as its first day business. The celluloid is expected to break record of Sardar Gabbar Singh on first Friday.
The newly released Telugu flick, which also features Shruti Hassan and Kamal Kamaraju pivotal roles, opened to a good response in Telugu speaking states. The movie witnessed maximum occupancy in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Receiving a splendid response at Nizam, Vizag, East zone, Krishna, Guntur, Ceded and Nellore, the celluloid is expected to make a huge business on Friday.
Produced under the banner of North Star Entertainment, the action film has been released on more than 500 screens. The movie, which is a remake of 2014 released Tamil celluloid Veeram, marks the second collaboration of Pawan and Shruti after Gabbar Singh. The action flick is expected to see culmination in the occupancy in noon and evening shows.
Alongside this Indian cinema, Bollywood movies Anaarkali Of Araah and Phillauri released today. Hindi actress Anushka Sharma starrer romantic comedy film received more response than Swar Bhaskar’s drama offering. The two cinemas are showcasing low performance in the south Indian region and Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Hassan’s flick already has a good hold there.
The action movie of south Indian superstar is expected collect an overall income of Rs 16 crore on day 1. The film has opened to a decent response in overseas.
