Jolly LLB 2 3rd Day Collection Occupancy Box Office Income : Competition with Raees 19th day collection and Kaabil 19th day collection has not impacted the box office business of Jolly LLB 2 as the film is reporting an occupancy in the range of 40 to 50 % in its morning shows. After earning Rs 13.2 crore on first day, Akshay Kumar starrer flick’s business peaked on second day and the movie witnessed 50-60% occupancy on Saturday.
Surpassing the first day double digit earnings of 1st day, Huma Qureshi’s latest Bollywood flick minted Rs 17.31 crore on 2nd day of its release. The total box office collection earned by the film in initial two days became Rs 30.51 crore. On third day of the celluloid’ opening in Indian cinemas, the film is expected to earn collection in Rs 20 crore – Rs 25 crore range.
Jolly LLB 2 overseas box office collection has been a single digit collection till date. The movie garnered Rs 1.27 crore in North America (United States and Canada). The film raked Rs 0.26 crore in United Kingdom, Rs 0.31 crore in Australia and Rs 0.14 crore in New Zealand. In rest of the world, Akki’s latest Hindi celluloid has failed to make a satisfactory box office business.
According to sources, the film has not succeeded in dominating south Indian states as Suriya’s Singam 3 weekend box office collection has already turned eyeballs of major chunk to the theatre screens as Anushka Shetty and Shruti Hassan starrer flick has reported around 60-70 % in its opening weekend.
Also the other movies Bogan and Nenu Local have been screened in the cinema halls in Telugu and Tamil speaking states. Thus, Jolly LLB 2 is not witnessing much occupancy in south Indian region. Sources told that movie has reported just 10 to 20% occupancy in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Friday and Saturday. The film is expected to see growth on Sunday.
Previous part of this celluloid, which starred Arshad Warsi in significant role, was released in 2013. The film had raked Rs 37 crore as overall collection of it. Sequel to the courtroom drama has surpassed the box office records of Jolly LLB and is expected to become second most highest earner after Akshay Kumar’s 2016’s highest grosser movie – Rustom.
