Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starred latest Bollywood movie ‘Dear Zindagi’ collected Rs 20 crores in first week. Gauri Shinde directed new Hindi cinema released across 1800 theaters in the world. It grossed Rs 8.75 crores on first day of release. On Second day, the film succeeded in earning Rs 11.25 crores at box office.
SRK and Alia led cinema didn’t face the effect of demonetization in India. The film is seeing good occupancy in cinema halls. Tarun Adarsh, trade analyst, tweeted about the box office collection earned by the film in three days. He wrote, “#DearZindagi shows SUPERB growth on Day 2… Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 11.25 cr. Total: ₹ 20 cr [1200 screens]. India biz.”
In international market, the movie has made a total collection of Rs 5.00 crores. It made a business of Rs 17.82 lakhs in Canada and Rs 2.69 crores in USA (total Rs 2.87 crore in North America). Taran had tweeted, “#DearZindagi, which had a midweek release in North America [USA + Canada], has grossed $ 419,208 [₹ 2.87 cr] in 2 days” on Thursday.
The celluloid co-produced by SRK, Karan Johar and Gauri Khan released on November 25. The film hit 1200 screens across the nation and 600 screens in foreign countries. Releasing across 1800 screens globally, the movie has minted a total world wide collection of Rs 25 crores at box office.
