Dangal, which is the movie of Mr Perfectionist – Aamir Khan, raked an overall income of Rs 361.79 crore till the third week of its release in India. The movie grossed box office collection of Rs 1.94 crore on 22nd day.
The film, which revolves around the life of Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his two daughters, has also garnered an astounding collection in overseas. The worldwide box office collection of the film has entered 500 crore-club.
Nitesh Kumar’s most successful project, which surpassed Salman Khan starrer Sultan, minted an overall collection of 502.49 crore across the global market. In North America, which includes the countries – USA and Canada, Aamir Khan starrer film garnered total collection of Rs 77.44 crore.
The movie, which also stars actress Sakshi Tanwar in major character opposite Aamir, collected Rs 52.59 crore in United Arab Emirates and G.C.C. In United Kingdom, the celluloid grossed Rs 25.52 crore.
The cinema, which features Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in significant roles of women wrestlers, amassed Rs 12.31 crore and Rs 2.88 crore in Australia and New Zealand, respectively. In Malaysia, the movie made business of Rs 0.70 crore.
Box office numbers of Dangal on 23rd day are awaited. Total box office collection of the movie is expected to escalate on day 23 as it comes on Sunday, which will be the holiday for many people.
Though the movie began its journey at box office with splendid opening of Rs 109 crore collection in first weekend, the movie witnessed sharp decline in the response from audiences at the end of third week.
Aamir Khan starrer Dangal has already surpassed the super hit films released in 2016. The movie has become the first such Bollywood celluloid to break all records and raked the first position in the list of blockbuster Hindi movies.
