Bollywood celebrities slam Abu Azmi on his remarks on Bengaluru molestation

Bollywood actors Farhan Akhtar, Varun Dhawan and actresses Richa Chadda, Taapsee Pannu slammed the Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Asim Azmi on his remarks on Bengaluru molestation. The celebs took their twitter accounts to hit out at Mr Azmi for his statement on women.

Actor Varun Dhawan tweeted, “Argggh how this angers me.Sir punish the criminals not the victims. Women can wear what they want it’s their choice.”

“Women should not dress like westerners b’coz men dressed like westerners are molesters, says the man in the shirt.#oxy(deprived)morons,” Farhan Akhtar wrote on social media.

Actress Richa Chadda tweeted, “Please don’t wear a shirt. Wear a kurta-pajama or dhoti. Let’s stop westernisation.” Richa posted another tweet, saying, “I have an idea.Why don’t we kill all women? Take foeticide to the next level.That’s a great cure of misogyny.Make your babies in a lab.Ok?”

‘Pink’ actress Taapsee Pannud tweeted, “I wish we had invited him for a special screening of #Pink or let me buy a ticket for him to see!”

After the incident of molestation occurred in Bengaluru on the eve of new year, Abu Azmi had said, “In today’s world, the more a woman is nude, the more she is considered modern and educated. Such things are on rise in the country. Western culture is a black spot on country’s culture and it should be stopped at the earliest. And we need to focus on our famous Indian culture.”
