Badrinath Ki Dulhania (BKD) 7th Day Collection 2nd Thursday Occupancy Business Report : Newly released Hindi film Badrinath Ki Dulhania, which has been receiving positive response from critics as well as audiences in India, collected a whopping amount of Rs 68.28 crore in six days. Showcasing outstanding growth in its performance on day 6, the celluloid witnessed about 15% occupancy in the cinema halls on its 2nd Thursday in Indian cinema.
Shashank Khaitan’s directorial project grossed Rs 6.08 crore on Wednesday and it is expected to collected an income of Rs 6 crore on 7th day of its release (2nd Thursday). The celluloid, which released across more than 3K screens in India, clinched huge response on opening day and garnered Rs 12.25 crore first day collection.
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s cinema exhibited culmination in its performance on next day and minted Rs 14.75 crore on 2nd day. Reporting more improvement in the business, the movie bagged Rs 16.05 crore on 3rd day of its release. As the adjacent days – Sunday and Monday were holidays for the people due to Holi festival, the film got splendid response from the spectators in cinema halls.
The celluloid witnessed a slight drop in its box office income and pocketed Rs 12.08 crore on 4th day of its release. Produced by Karan Johar, the romantic drama reported gradual drop in the earnings and collected Rs 7.15 crore on Tuesday. The film further witnessed declination in its collection at box office and earned Rs 6.05 crore on Wednesday (6th day of release).
Apart from these income figures in India, the celluloid also showcased excellent performance in the foreign countries by raking a good amount at box office in overseas. The film collected Rs 0.07 crore in Germany, Rs 0.02 crore in Malaysia, Rs 0.84 crore in Australia, Rs 0.66 crore in New Zealand, Rs 5.71 crore in US and Canada, Rs 1.44 crore in UK and Rs 10.03 crore from rest of the world. The movie grossed Rs 18.7 crore overall collection in overseas.
Varun and Alia’s film has already surpassed the 100-crore mark with its worldwide box office collection. The cinema is still falling short of Rs 32 crore to enter the 100-crore business in domestic arena. With its continuity in the performance and consistent box office earnings, the romantic movie produced under the banner of Dharma Production is expected to cross the 100-crore mark in next week.
