Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Jolly LLB 2 is now in a legal trouble. The much awaited courtroom drama seems to enter the real life court proceedings for some scenes in it over which a lawyer has raised concerns.

According to reports, advocate Ajaykumar S Waghmare has filed a petition at Bombay High Court, asking that the term ‘LLB’ should be dropped from the film’s title.

Mr Waghmare stated in the petition that many scenes in the film’s trailer showed characters playing cards as well as dancing in court premises which according to him has reflected a poor impression on the lawyers.

The petition filed by the advocate also reads that the scenes in the film were a ‘deliberate attempt to malign the reputation of the Indian legal profession’.

Mr Waghmare has reportedly also urged that the movie’s trailer be prevented from playing on social media as well as TV channels. The court is going to hear this petition on January 24.

Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 2 has Akshay Kumar who is playing the leading character of an unscrupulous lawyer Jagdish Mishra who turns over a new leaf when he battles an all-important case.

Produced under the banners of Fox Star Studios, the film which also features Huma Qureshi and Annu Kapoor in significant roles is slated to hit screens on February 10.
