Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is going to commence the shooting for Amitabh Bachchan starrer Thugs of Hindostan in May 2017. The actor is all set to begin work for his next project this year after the superhit Dangal, which rocked at box office with its massive business.
Directed by popular filmmaker-writer Vijay Krishna Acharya, who has directed the blockbuster Dhoom 3, will be produced by Aditya Chopra under his home banner production company Yash Raj Films. Director Vijay Krishna Acharya narrated the film story himself.
It’s been rumored that film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s illustrious novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’ in 1839 which is further based on the Thuggee cult in British India. There is no confirmation about the leading lady of the film but its been reported that names of Deepika Padukone is approached for lead role.
Aamir Khan’s recent film Dangal gained ample response from critics and audience. The celluloid was loved by everyone especially for the superb performance by Aamir Khan and his on-screen daughters Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Zaira Waseem.
The film has recently crossed 385 crores at the domestic Box Office. Dangal is only the second cinema after PK which has grossed 700 crores worldwide. Even after 40 days of release, the celluloid is still running on limited screens which is a huge achievement.
